Police arrest Indian woman with more than 1kg gold at TIA

Kathmandu: Police have arrested an Indian woman along with more than 1 kg of gold at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Nepal Police Senior Superintendent of Police SSP Somendra Rathore told Nepal Views that Khemani Mina Sujit Singh (53 years old) was arrested at TIA on Tuesday night.

SSP Rathore said, 'Singh came to Kathmandu via Air Arabia flight from Sharjah, UAE. 1 thousand 160 grams of gold was seized from him.'

Police said Singh brought gold through a semi-solid. 'Gold was found during a suspicious inspection. 3 plastic-wrapped nuggets of semi-gold were seized from her,' said SSP Rathore.
