10 people injured in Rautahat bus accident

Kathmandu: Ten people have been injured in an accident in Rautahat of Chandrapur under the East-West Highway.

Out of 10, 7 people have been identified as Indian nationals. The accident occurred on Monday morning.

According to the police, a bus (registration number Bagmati Province 01–006 Kha 5216) traveling from Kathmandu towards Mahottari lost control and fell approximately 7 feet off the road at around 4:30 AM. Of the 25 people on the bus, 10 were injured.

Among the injured Indian nationals were 44‑year‑old Rekha Devi from Sitamarhi District, 22‑year‑old Jahdevi Jha, 11‑year‑old Bishu Kumar Patel, 26‑year‑old Mohammed Amz and Mohammed Akil from Darbhanga District, as well as 38‑year‑old Nargis Khatun and 2‑year‑old Aayush Pratik. Rautahat Police Spokesperson DSP Deepak Rai shared the information.

The injured Nepalis include 23‑year‑old Anushka Nigam from Kshireshwarnath Municipality‑1 in Dhanusha, 35‑year‑old Santoshi Thakur from Janakpur, and 43‑year‑old Punam Thakur from Jaleshwar Municipality‑4 in Mahottari.
