Kathmandu: Completion of any project within the deadline in Nepal is just like a miracle. Whether the project is of nation's pride project or a small project of the local government, delay has become just like an old disease for Nepal.

Such a disease acts as a fuel for leaders, cadres, and entrepreneurs to prosper, but a stress for the public. Currently, residents of wards 16 and 26 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) are compelled to suffer similar difficulties.

Likewise, the construction work of the road in front of Amrit School at Nirmal Lama Marga Ward No 16, has not been completed even after years. After the road turned boggy, locals united and pressured the Ward Office for the complete of the road construction. This has initiated the gravelling of the road.

Similarly, the condition of Mhepi Road, whose responsibility for construction comes under Ward no 26, has also turned boggy.

Although the sewage management work on the road began in the month of late January (Magh) and was completed in early May (Jestha), the remaining works are still in limbo.

Boggy roads have become a regular scene inside various road section of KMC. With such road conditions, students, pedestrians, 2 wheelers vehicles, and residents are suffering everyday to reach their destination.
