Gold and Silver trader's whistle rally (Photos)

Kathmandu: Gold and silver traders and smiths have been demonstrating, placing various demands against the government's decision to impose a luxury tax on gold.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association and Nepal Gems and Jewellery Association organized a meeting, including a rally in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

They demanded the removal of the 13% VAT imposition on the diamonds and precious stones. They also demanded the removal of 2% luxury VAT on the gold.

Likewise, Bhaktapur’s gold and silver traders also organized a whistle rally demonstration to pressurize the government.
