Kathmandu: The staging of the drama of ‘The Missing Dog’ is underway at Mandala Theatre, Thapagun.
The drama is a metaphorical play that attempts to expose the injustice in the governance and the bias in the investigative system, and the suppression of citizen voices.
The story, which begins from the simple incident of a missing dog, transforms into a critique of the power structure. Those who seek truth are unveiled as criminals, evidence is lost, and the investigation is diverted towards those in power.
The drama also revolves around several questions like "Will fair justice be served?" and " Is the voice of the public secured?" "The Missing Dog" has emerged as a powerful theatrical performance that questions the nature of power.

Kiran Nepali, Smirti Kalmar, Rezmi Rai, Avinasha D.C, Inderni Kuling, Rama Kuling, Mina Shrestha, and Mani Kuling Rai are the actors of the drama. Mani Kuling Rai is the writer and director of the drama. The adaptation credit goes to Rabin Tamang.
Except on Mondays, the drama will be staged every day at 4:00 p.m. There are also additional shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 p.m. The drama will conclude on July 20 (Shrawan 4).
