Kathmandu: It has been one year since a landslide in Chitwan's Simaltal caused two buses to plunge into the Trishuli River.

Out of the 62 passengers on board the two buses involved in the incident, only three survived, the bodies of 20 were recovered, and 39 are still missing.

Why did Chinese Ambassador mock search operation of bus accident?

The buses that were swept away in the incident along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section at Simaltal have also not been found.

Despite search efforts involving the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and a special team from India, neither the missing passengers nor the buses could be located.
