Awarti: The Story of Destiny (Photo Feature)


Kathmandu: The drama "Awarti" is currently being staged at Mandala Theatre, Thapagaun in Kathmandu.
Awarti centers around the deep conflict between love and destiny, a complex journey of choice and struggle, and an unbelievable journey of the soul.
Presented by Kosha Arts, in collaboration with Mandala Theatre, the drama is written and directed by Samrat Bhujel.
The plot of Awarti centers on the concept of destiny and how the events of life are pre-destined. Though the characters undergo various struggles and explore different alternatives, they ultimately arrive at the destination where their fate lies.
Filled with love, sorrow, suspicion, and self-realization, the drama balances reality and symbolism. It incorporates both the depth of human relationships and the unwavering path of the soul.
Also marking the debut play of Nepali film actress and model Garima Sharma, the cast includes Prathana Pathak, Shreeshesh Shrestha, Chirag Paneru, and Dipesh Gajurel.
The drama is performed daily at 5:30 p.m., with an additional show at 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays. It will run until Bhadra 15, 2082 (August 31, 2025).
