Kathmandu: Private school operators have staged a protest by wearing black bands against the School Education Bill, which was presented in the House of Representatives.

Members of school associations, including PABSON, N-PABSON, HISSAN, and APEN, organized a joint demonstration and participated in a rally from Maitighar Mandala to Bijulibazaar.

Some of the demonstrators' demands include removing the full scholarship provision and limiting it to 10%, removing the term "non-profit," and abolishing requirements for schools to provide items not produced by the school, such as uniforms, study materials, and snacks.
