Kathmandu: A peaceful demonstration was held in front of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) headquarters in Satdobato on Sunday.
Protesting against the disorder, financial opacity, and lack of accountability seen in Nepali football, Football stakeholders, former players, coaches, and supporters held the protest with slogans including “Football belongs to the people, not to any individual,” as they demanded transparency and reform within the country’s top football governing body.
The demonstrators called for the public disclosure of financial records from the past five years, accountability from ANFA leadership, and the immediate resumption of the suspended domestic leagues.
They also called for transparency and responsibility in women’s football and grassroots development programs.
