Kathmandu: The voting process for selecting new leadership at the 11th General Convention of the CPN (UML) will begin only after 4:00 pm. Although preparations had been made to start voting from 12:00 noon, technical reasons delayed the process.

With the unveiling of the final list of candidates, the central election team is currently engaged in technical preparations for the election. The voting will begin once the digital preparations are completed.

Since the names of all candidates, provided by the Election Commission, must be digitally coded into the system, it is estimated that this process will be completed by 4:00 pm.

At the General Convention, the voting process will be conducted through 80 electronic voting machines (EVMs).

It is estimated that each voter will take approximately 35 to 40 minutes to cast their vote.
