Bangladesh plans to shift T20 World Cup matches from India

Photo Courtesy: Bangladesh Cricket: The Tigers FacebookKathmandu: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is planning to shift its T20 World Cup matches from India to Sri Lanka, after fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman was released out by his Indian Premier League team amid ongoing tension between the countries.
Kolkota Kinght Riders on Saturday released Rahman, after being instructed by India's Board (BCCI). ESPN cricinfo reported that after Rahman release on Saturday, BCB held an emergency meeting where they planned to write to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to shift their matches and raise concerns about player safety.
BCB media committee chairman Amzad Hussain told ESPN cricinfo, 'We have three matches of the T20 World Cup in Kolkata, so we will write to the ICC regarding what has happened today.'
Likewise, Bangladesh are scheduled to play Twenty 20 World Cup matches against the West Indies, England, and Italy in Kolkata and Nepal in Mumbai.
