Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) has halted the immediate implementation of the government's decision of distributing 2 lakh rupees to the disqualified former Maoist combatants.
Supreme Court Justice Kumar Regmi gave the interim order not to implement the government's decision immediately on Tuesday.
Advocate Granendra Raj Aran had filed a writ petition against the government's decision of distributing the money to the former fighters.
The court has called both parties for another hearing. A final verdict will be made after a thorough discussion between the two parties on the subject matter.
