Former president Bhandari observes RSS photo exhibition


Kathmandu: Former president Bidya Devi Bhandari today observed the photo exhibition at Rastriya Samachar Samiti central office at Bhadrakali Plaza in Kathmandu.
Organized on May 25 on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2080, various photos taken by RSS photo journalists reflecting diverse cultural aspects of Nepal are on display in the weeklong exhibition.
There are a total of 78 photos on display showcasing the cultures and heritages of all seven provinces of the country and the Kathmandu Valley. The photos on display are about different fairs, rituals, cultural processions, temples, monasteries, festivals, and religious shrines portraying the cultural diversity of the country.
On the occasion, the former president said the photo exhibition displaying photos about culture was well-timed. She also stressed the need for conserving and promoting culture of the country.
The former president was received and welcomed at the RSS central office by RSS Chair Dharmendra Jha, General Manager Siddha Raj Rai, deputy general managers, and chiefs of departments. Former president also visited the various departments, including the Newsroom, at the RSS Central Office on the occasion.
