Kathmandu: Former Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has commented on Budget of 2080-81 (2023-24). Poudel commented on the budget during the ongoing meeting over the budget in parliament.

Poudel said, 'The budget is full of slogans. Nothing other than slogans. There is no freshness in the budget. The budget lacks the program and allocation of execution of all those slogans. That's why the budget lacks willpower and planning.'

Poudel said that economic growth of 6 percent was impossible. He added, ' The government has targeted economic growth of 6 percent. But, this would remain only as a goal. This cannot be done, seems impossible. Such kind of budget cannot meet the goals.'
