Proposals to cut expenditures belonging to Vice President’s Office tabled in House

Kathmandu: Proposals to cut expenditures belonging to the Office of Vice President have been tabled in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.
Parliamentarians Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh, Bhagawati Chaudhary, and Prem Suwal presented the proposals.
In the meeting, deliberations are scheduled on various subjects relating to the Vice President's Office as part of the discussions on the Appropriation Bill, 2080.
Singh and Chaudhary tabled the proposals demanding the reduction of expenditures belonging to the Office of Vice President to Rs. 1.
Similarly, Suwal also called for significantly reducing expenditures belonging to the Office of Vice President. They argued that the faith of people in the Offices of the President and Vice President was decreasing due to ‘extravagant spending’ by these institutions,
Singh said that the Office of Vice President's facilities and expenses done by including vehicles and fuels should be cut, and the budget saved from this should be spent on health and education.
He added that services and facilities given to Vice President are enough. In another context, Suwal was of the view that President and Vice President should not endorse any bills that have reached them by avoiding the House procedures.
