CIB arrests Bhat-Bhateni's Chairman Gurung

Kathmandu: Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested the Chairman and the Managing Director of Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket Min Bahadur Gurung.

A team from CIB arrested Gurung from his home in Naxal in the Lalita Niwas land grab scandal on Tuesday.

Gurung was also accused in the 'Lalita Niwas' land scandal case of the act of embezzlement in the government's land (299 Ropani 3 Aana). CIB had kept him on the fugitive list.

Along with Gurung, Shova Kanta Dhakal, Ram Prasad Subedi, and Hupendra Mani KC, are also on the accused list in the scandal.

The Special Court has demanded 2 crore rupees from businessman Gurung for bail in 2077 B.S. But Gurung appeared in the court in 2078 B.S.
