At least 19 passengers injured in bus accident

Kathmandu: At least 19 passengers were injured in a bus accident on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section.

A passenger bus with registration number Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 5237 met with an accident at Dasdhunga of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29.

Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijaya Raj Pandit, said the bus en route to Kathmandu from Kakarvitta met with the accident at 5:20 am this morning.

The bus lost control and got stuck on a tree 10 meters below the road. There were 40 passengers in the bus. Of the injured, 10 have been sent to The Old Medical College, eight to Bharatpur Hospital and one to Kathmandu.
