Kathmandu: Social media giant Twitter has changed the logo of 'Blue Bird' into a 'Doge' meme.

Twitter has replaced the logo of the bird with the Shiba Inu dog meme. The logo is seen in the web version of Twitter but the mobile app has the same old logo.

One can see the doge meme loading just after clicking the website of Twitter.  Similarly, the new logo has also replaced the bluebird in the top left corner of the website.

The CEO of Twitter Elon Musk hinted about the change in the pipeline on Monday. Elon had tweeted 'MetamorphosisAl' along with the photo of a butterfly halted by traffic police.

There is a comparison between the driver butterfly and the caterpillar picture on the license. A dialog is in the picture that quotes, 'That's an old photo.'

Musk tweeted another edited picture on Tuesday. The head of the butterfly in the previous picture has been edited with that of the doge meme and the photo in the license has been edited into the blue bird of Twitter.

The dialog was kept the same in the picture. Twitter users have been taking Musk's post as an official Twitter announcement regarding the logo of Twitter.

Musk even tweeted an old tweet with a user named Chairman. Twitter has not officially given any information regarding the logo change rather than Musk's tweet.

There is no update on whether the change is temporary or permanent. Many users have also analyzed the change as a belated April Fool's day celebration by Twitter.

Musk, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying all the attention from the globe regarding the change of the logo.

According to Bloomberg, there has been an increment in the value of Dogecoin by 30% after the change of Twitter's logo. Elon bought Twitter last year for $44 billion.

Software engineers Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus had launched the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which has been using the picture of the Shiba Inu dog as its logo, in December 2013.
