Meeting going on for resuming both houses of Federal Parliament
The leaders are in the process of coming to a mutual understanding before the beginning of the parliamentary meeting at 3 pm today. CPN (UML) has been obstructing the houses demanding the formation of a high-profile committee for the investigation of the gold smuggling scandal.
Kathmandu: The meeting between the leaders of major parties has started to remove the obstruction in both houses of federal parliament.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Nepali Congress Chairperson Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairperson of CPN (IML) KP Sharma Oli along with whips of three major parties are part of the meeting in Prime Minister Residence, Baluwatar.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire is also present in the meeting. Prachanda called the meeting. Although the leaders of major political parties were in dicussions for two separate meetings, the meeting did not conclude.
