High profile inquiry committee must be formed: Dr. Shekhar Koirala

Kathmandu: Member of Parliament Dr. Shekhar Koirala has supported the formation of a high-profile inquiry committee in the gold smuggling scandal.
Dr. Koirala said that Nepal was turning into a ring of international smugglers. He shared his thoughts while speaking at a Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Meeting.
Dr. Koirala said, 'It is significant to know that about 400 to 600 tons of gold were going from Nepal.' He said that the gold was seized after an employee of Prachanda's Secretariat went to Revenue Investigation Department. He said, 'Let's see, What is happening after that? What did he say? Did you forget him saying why to assign it to CIB when they were capable?'
Dr. Koirala said that it was necessary to think about why CPN (UML) was demanding the formation of the high-profile inquiry committee.
