Kathmandu: CPN (UML) has obstructed the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting.
UML obstructed the meeting demanding the formation of a high-profile inquiry committee in the gold smuggling scandal.
Member of Parliament Manbir Rai said, 'Why didn’t the government see the repeated smuggling of more than one quintal of gold to Nepal? The evidence of the smuggling vanished in the setting of the home minister and prime minister. The call details show former Speaker and his son have talked more than 200 times. Why is the investigation not taking place? That’s why a high-profile inquiry needs to be formed in the case.'
UML's MP started protesting just after the opinion of Rai. The meeting has been postponed till 20th August (Bhadra 3) at 1 pm.
