155 kilos of seized gold weighed 60 kilos after melting

Kathmandu: The weighing of the seized gold has been reported to be 60 kilos and 779 grams.

The gold was predicted to be one quintal but it decreased by about halved the quantity.

The gold was weighed in the Taksar (Mint) division of the Nepal Rastra Bank. The division reported that the gold weighed after melting was found to be 60 kg 779 grams.

According to the sources, 'The weight of the gold along with the brake shoe was weighed 1 hundred 55 kilos. After melting the gold, it weighed about 60 kilos.'

The gold was seized from the premises of Tribhuvan International Airport.
