PM roots for 'revolutionary change' in production for transformation

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said change would not be possible in the country until and unless there is a revolution in agricultural production.
PM Dahal said this while inaugurating the Central Workshop Seminar organized by the Hariyali Prakritik Krishi Abhiyan (Green Natural Agricultural Campaign) at the party's central office in Paris Danda today. On the occasion, he stressed the need to bring a 'visible change' in agricultural production. The Workshop organizers have said representatives from 34 districts are attending the seminar.
'The green campaign has a meaningful and long-term significance. Change is not possible in the country unless a revolutionary change is brought into production. The latest central committee meeting of the Maoist Centre has initiated this campaign as a movement for bringing a revolution in the agriculture sector,' the PM and Maoist Centre Chair reiterated.
The PM also thanked all those involved in making the Campaign a success. He also recalled on the occasion that discussions on collaboration had been held during his official visit to India. As he said, the government is working to promote an exchange of experience with India by sending the farmers from Nepal for study tours and discussions on green agriculture promoted by India.
Party general secretary Dev Prasad Gurung said the party will take special initiatives to expand the campaign nationwide. Maoist Centre leaders Dilaram Acharya, Dinanath Sharma, and Jhakku Prasad Subedi, among others, shed light on the importance and necessity of the campaign.
