Kathmandu: The Tatopani checkpoint has come into operation after eight years.

The checkpoint came into operation on Friday. This has increased excitement among the local people.

People can be seen bustling in the major commercial checkpoint between Nepal and China. A team including Member of Parliament Madhav Sapkota 'Subodh' and Head of Immigration Office Dayananda KC have gone to China.

Hundreds of locals of Sindhupalchowk also crossed the Miteri bridge. The checkpoint was closed after the earthquake occurred on 25th April 2015 (Baisakh 12, 2072 B.S.). Many business personnel suffered after the checkpoint was closed.
