Lightning results in death of 12 years old girl in Bajura

Kathmandu: Lightning has resulted in the death of a girl in Bajura.

The girl died and her sister was injured when lightning hit them on Saturday night at Kordha of Badimalika Municipality-6 in Bajura. 'The deceased has been identified as Pratikshya Rawal (12 years old),' said Inspector Dan Singh Bhandari. Pratikshya died on the spot.

The deceased's nine-year-old sister Rojita, who was injured in the incident, is receiving treatment at the district hospital in Martadi. Police said that the incident took place while both of them were asleep in their house.  A buffalo, its calf, and an ox were also killed in the incident.
