CAAN unveils budget of Rs. 36.5 billion


Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has endorsed a budget of Rs. 36.5 billion for the fiscal year 2023/24.
The CAAN Board of Directors approved a budget of Rs. 36 billion 666 million 400 thousand for the current fiscal year. CAAN spokesperson Jagannath Niraula said that the budget for the current fiscal year had been allocated by determining priority sectors including aviation and air safety strengthening, infrastructure development, airport operation, etc.
According to Niraula, the budget prioritized collaborating with international organizations, increasing the services and facilities for passengers, generating income and fiscal discipline, and human resources development, among others. CAAN has set the target of generating income of Rs. 15 billion 882 million and 500 thousand in the current fiscal year.
