Bishwa Prakash Sharma: Balen's action was right in New Road, he must be allowed to work

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress General Secretary and Member of Parliament (MP) Bishwa Prakash Sharma has supported the attempt of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra "Balen" Shah to extend the footpath of the New Road.

MP Sharma supported KMC Mayor Shah in Thursday's House of Representatives (HoR) meeting.

'Association must be moderate in the conflict between the association and local level. It was necessary to increase the footpath of the New Road for the convenience of the citizens. What Balen did, was right. He must be allowed to work there. The association must not interfere in the matter, ' said MP Sharma.

MP Sharma suggested KP Sharma Oli interact with the Deputy Mayor to convey a message rather than beginning a word fight with the KMC Mayor Shah.

A few days ago, KMC tried to extend the footpaths on the New Road. However, the Road Division halted the work and blacktopped the portion of the road again.
