Heavy snowfall in USA; State of emergency declared in 7 states

Kathmandu: Around 60 million (6 crores) people have been affected by heavy snowfall in the USA.

A state of emergency has been declared in the states of Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Arkansas, Kankas, Missouri and New Jersey. The highways of these states are closed due to heavy snowfall.

The Administration warned not to travel on roads. Hundreds of flights have been canceled, including the closure of schools.

Heavy snowfall and the coldest temperature broke the record of the last decade.

According to BBC, Kankas and Mississippi are currently the most affected by heavy snowfall. Up to 10-inch snowfall has fallen in some areas since Sunday afternoon.
