PM's wife Sita Dahal passes away

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's wife Sita Dahal has passed away, aged 69.

She passed away this morning at Norvic Hospital. Prime Minister Prachanda's personal physician Prof. Dr. Yubaraj Sharma informed that she passed away at 8:33 am today.

Sita Dahal, who was suffering from progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a complex type of parkinson's disease, had been bedridden for a long time. She was taken to the hospital on Wednesday morning following complications in her health condition.

Prime Minister Prachanda has also reached Norvic Hospital. Other dignitaries and party workers have also reached the hospital premises.
