CPN (UML) Chairperson Oli stakes his claim for Prime Minister

Kathmandu: The power equation between CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress has staked its claim to form a new government.

The power equation submitted the signatures of their Members of Parliament (MPs) to President Ram Chandra Paudel to form the new government under the leadership of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli.

The submitted document comprises the signatures of 88 MPs from NC and 77 from CPN (UML).

The MPs went to Sheetal Niwas to submit the claim after the CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' failed to attain a vote of confidence.

Previously, President Paudel summoned political parties to stake a claim for forming a new government by Article 76 (2) of the Constitution.
