NC President Deuba: What would Gyanendra do if he became king again?

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has remarked that former King Gyanendra Shah has created chaos.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 8th convention of the Nepalese Writers' Association in Lumbini on Saturday, Deuba said the republic will not be abolished just because Gyanendra wishes so.

'In the name of the former king, there was unrest yesterday. Many houses were attacked and damaged in an anarchic manner. So, be clear—if former King Gyanendra is doing this now, what would he do if he became king again?' NC President Deuba said,' He never intended to be a constitutional king. He does not have that nature. There is no possibility. The republic will not be abolished just because he wishes so.'

He further said the country stands united in favor of the republic.
