Kathmandu: Nepal GoodWeave Foundation has successfully organized its Annual Day and Common Birthday Celebration Program.

The event, held at Hamro Ghar Transit Home, aimed to provide a joyful environment while reinforcing emotional care and social inclusion for children rescued from child labor.

Chief Guest Shant Thapa expressed her happiness in being part of the celebration and shared that spending time with the children felt similar to being with her own son and daughter at home. Thapa appreciated the foundation’s dedicated role in eradicating child labor from Nepal’s carpet industry and restoring children’s right to education and a dignified childhood.

Stating that such collective celebrations could serve as a model for other child care homes across the country, Consortium Nepal President Pradeep Kumar Lamichhane, in his remarks, applauded the tradition of celebrating common birthdays.

The program concluded with cake cutting and exchange of gifts, leaving the children visibly joyful and encouraged.
