Kathmandu: The President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has left for Singapore for medical treatment.
Deuba left for Singapore with his wife Arzu on Tuesday midnight for a routine health checkup. He will return home after a week, according to the NC Central Office Secretariat.
The Secretariat added that Deuba had to go to Singapore every two years for follow-up but he has travelled there after three years this time.
Deuba received treatment in Singapore some years ago after he suffered from abdominal complication. The septuagenarian leader could not avail routine follow-up since he remained occupied in the party's national convention and election of various tiers held under his leadership.
